Error description

• QMF messages displayed as the result of a failed query
  are truncated for several characters past 79, although
  the final portion of the message is displayed
  
  For example:
  QUERY MESSAGES:
  Unsuccessful execution caused by an unavailable resource.
                                     (Reason code: 00c9008
     MMDB9001.TS57266).

Problem summary

  * USERS AFFECTED: All QMF for TSO/CICS users.                  *

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When users access QMF via a terminal    *
  *                      emulator for which the session screen   *
  *                      size is set to a length greater than    *
  *                      80, QMF messages that are greater than  *
  *                      79 bytes will be displayed with         *
  *                      portions of the message missing.        *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  In order to fit properly on a QMF screen, regardless of
  emulator session settings, QMF messages should be constructed
  with no single line having a length greater than 79 characters.
  Longer messages should wrap to successive lines.  QMF was
  setting the query message width to be equal to the width
  specified by the emulator session.  If the emulator setting was
  132, all characters from 80-131 were missing from the message
  sent to the screen.
  

Problem conclusion

• The query message length has been set to 79, irrespective of
  the emulator screen width setting.
