PM30189: CLONE WSL WITH MASK OF DATASET NAMES REFERENCES DSN THAT IS NOT BUILT BY THE CLONE PROCESS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• In DB2 Administration Tool, when using Q line command to CLONE a
  Work Statement List ( WSL ), and using MASK on DSN's via prompt:
     Apply masking to data set names. . : YES    (Yes/No=default)
  on panel ADB2W1Q results in a WSL that fails on references to
  the MASK'd DSN file name, which was never built.
  .
  For example, a simple CLONE mask of:
    000100 NAME:PM11141A*,PM11141Z*
  changes the WSL statement which references an .IFF file from:
  .
  TSO  ALLOC DD(INTFIN) DS('VNDO327.PM11141.PM11141A.IFF(IFF0001)'
  .
  to reference a new DSN, like:
  .
  TSO  ALLOC DD(INTFIN) DS('VNDO327.PM11141.PM11141Z.IFF(IFF0001)'
  .
  but the ...PM11141Z.IFF... file is not built by the CLONE
  process.
  

Local fix

• Edit WSL, or copy existing .IFF file to new DSN.
