PM29121: DB2 HIGH PERFORMANCE UNLOAD FOR Z/OS NEW PARM VUX036/RTSESTIM : TO ALLOW THE USE OF REAL TIME STATISTICS TABLES WHEN AVAILABLE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• HPU 4.1 only:
  Incorrect estimation of the size of the data to be unloaded
  occurs thus leading to troubles with allocation of output files
  generated through templates or with sort operations.  This
  occurs when the record from the SYSIBM.SYSTABLESPACESTATS table
  for the table space involved in the unload has TOTALROWS=NULL
  and NPAGES=0.
  
  Similar troubles may also occur if the Real Time Statistics
  tables are not refreshed often enough due to a high value of
  STATSINT in the DB2 settings.
  
  Fix details:
  oestime module was changed so that irrelevant RTS is no longer
  used to estimate the size of the data to be unload and inzpab
  module was changed to take the new parameter (VUX036 RTSESTIM)
  that allows disabling the use of RTS into account.
