Error description

  • Client is converting from Crystal Enterprise to Cognos.????We
    have several blob fields in our databases that are giving us
    this ??type of error. All the blobs are text fields. Our DB
    Administrator has??researched and we have some fields that are
    as big as 32K. ????We have set up determinants in the Business
    view of framework manager??for each query subject, designating a
    unique key.??This all appears to work properly for HTML
    output.??In PDF, for some incident numbers, we are receiving an
    error running to PDF output.??These are seen when some of the
    larger blobs are run to PDF.?? ??Once we use the cast function
    in the report for these fields the error??goes away, but we are
    limiting the output, which does not serve our??business
    requirements.?? ??Also, these 3 fields generated in report as
    html, but we had to convert??them with cast for pdf
    output.??This is not acceptable and they wish to be able to
    generate all of teh blob content to the PDF document.????NOTE:
    ??Final report( HTML ) is a single row and one of the cells
    extends across aboth 300 HTML pages in size.????The error code
    RSV-RND-0127 does not appear in out knowledbe bases at all.????I
    am looking for some report workaround.????Under what
    circumstances would we expect to receive this error???Is there
    an upper limit on what PDF can handle for a single cell
    perhaps???Is there possibly a buffer limit which we could be
    hitting?
