Error description

  • In DB2 Object Comparison Tool for z/OS, tool appends
    <SCHEMA>.correlation-id.column resulting in parsing error.
    e.g.
    ADB1847E WARNING : Error parsing DDL NSP statement. Please
    verify the generated DDL
    CREATE PROCEDURE schema.spname ( IN .....
           MERGE INTO (tbowner.tbname AS H USING ( VALUES ( col....)
           AS <schema>.N (col....)
    Token number =   1467, Token = .

    *                 for z/OS who define a native SQL             *
    *                 procedure which includes a DB2 merge         *
    *                 SQL statement.                               *

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: A parser error occurs when using the    *
    *                      DB2 Object Comparison Tool for z/OS     *
    *                      to compare native SQL procedures.       *

    *                      A parser error message like the         *
    *                      following will exist in the job output: *
    *                                                              *
    *                      Invalid token after <owner> keyword -   *
    *                        expected keyword (column-name-list)   *

    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply The PTF.                               *

    When a native SQL procedure (NSP) is compared using the
    DB2 Object Comparison Tool for z/OS and one of the
    differences is the owner of the NSP, a parser error occurs.
    In the job output a parser error message like the following
    will exist:
    
    ADB1847E WARNING : Error parsing DDL NSP statement.
                       Please verify the generated DDL
    
    Invalid token after <nsp owner> keyword -
               expected keyword (column-name-list)
    
    Token number =   147, Token = .
    
    
    Where <nsp owner> is the owner of the NSP.
    

Problem conclusion
