  • IMS PI does not correctly handle volume changes in some
extended-format datasets resulting in an ABEND213-B4, perhaps
preceded by an ABEND214-B4.
This problem is more likely to occur when using the "w" line
command as it samples records from the beginning to the end of
the dataset.

Problem conclusion


    

  • Modify IMS PI to not CLOSE/OPEN extended-format datasets
at EOV, and not reset POINT "address".
