PM27476: UNLOAD GENERATES MSG INZU366I WHEN TS IS IN COPY PENDING

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The unload fails and stops with completion code 8 and issues
  msgINZU366I UTILITY RETURN CODE 8 (REASON CODE 0x27a003) but no
  error message is issued explaining the reason for the failure.
  This occurs when all the following conditions are true:
  - the table space involved in the UNLOAD is in the COPY PENDING
    restricted state.
  - the UNLOAD statement specifies QUIESCE YES or the QUIESCE
    option is not specified in SYSIN and the VUU013/ULQSCE
    parameter is set to YES.
  - the VUU028/ULQSCEBH parameter is set to TRY
  Possible workaround:
  To UNLOAD a table space in a COPY pending state you can do
  one of the following:
    - run an UNLOAD with QUIESCE NO
    - set ULQSCEBH to FORCE (in INZTVAR)

  *                      VUU013/ULQSCE parameter is set to YES.  *
  *                      - the VUU028/ULQSCEBH parameter is      *
  *                      set to TRY.                             *
  *                      Since ULQSCEBH is set to TRY, when      *
  *                      attempting to QUIESCE the table space   *
  *                      (which is impossibmle due to            *
  *                      restricted state), DB2 HPU only         *
  *                      attempts to reissue the QUIESCE but if  *
  *                      the COPY state has not been removed     *
  *                      in the meantime, it finally stops with  *
  *                      completion code 8. This situation       *
  *                      should be explained through an error    *
  *                      message.                                *

  inzrun and inzmsgs were changed so that an error message
  (msgINZU406E) is issued to explain the reason of the failure.
