Error description
IMS V12 provide rununder support for CCF. Additional issues addressed: 1) /CCFMOD failing when using the remote-STC option. The CCF4074I should indicate the /MOD COMMIT was entered and assume the command was successful. 2) To avoid most U4072 abends in the remote-STC, CCFEXEC0 will terminate the remote-STC before abending the batch program in the event a command fails the maximum number of retry attempts. 3) Certain batch processing options specified in the CCF options data set Global record are being ignored. The batch job runtime options are identified in message CCF6010I. 4) /DIS DB/AREA commands failing when using wildcards and the IMS OM for command routing. Keywords: MSGCCF4074I ABENDU4072

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: Users of IMS Command Control Facility V2.1 * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Add support for IMS 12.1. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** Function added: Added support for IMS 12.1. Problems addressed: /CCFMOD was failing for remote-stc because message CCF4074I was not being processed properly by the CCF batch job. To avoid unneccessary U4072 abends in the remote-STC when commands fail, we now deallocate the conversations before abending the batch job. /DIS DB/AREA commands failing when using wildcards and the IMS OM for command routing. Certain batch processing options specified in the CCF options data set Global record are being ignored. The batch job runtime options are identified in message CCF6010I.
Problem conclusion
Temporary fix
Comments
IMS version 12.1 support was added. CCF will assume /MOD COMMIT was successful when message CCF4074I is received using the remote-STC. The remote-STC will now terminate normally when commands fail and max retry has been reached. Corrected the was wildcards on database commands are processed when using the IMS Operations Manager for command routing. Batch job processing options defined in the CCF global options record will be used.
