**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of HPFPU Fast Path Advanced Tool * * in Fast Path Solution Pack Version 1 Release * * 1 (FMID: HAHQ110) who specify RESTART=YES in * * UNLOAD command. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: In the restart processing, the FPA * * Unload function with checkpoint * * restart option sets an incorrect value * * in the Process Summary Report and * * issues MSGHFPP0005E incorrectly for * * FILECTL command. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. * **************************************************************** After applying APAR PM17824, when the FPA Unload function is executed with RESTART=YES, ICOUT=YES and ICNOTIFY=YES, it may set incorrect value in the Process Summary Report when the processing failed to issue the NOTIFY.IC command to register the image copies to DBRC for some areas in the previous run. For example, BYP is set in IC REG for AREA2 in the 2nd run to show registration to DBRC was bypassed because of errors, although the processing for AREA2 ended normally. 1st run (Checkpoit mode) AREA1 Notify.IC failed AREA2 Unload failed 2nd run (1st Restart mode) AREA1 Notify.IC failed AREA2 Normal end Also, it may issue HFPP0005E incorrectly when the number of the areas that are specified in FILECTL command is less than the number of the areas that are specified in DBD definition.
Problem conclusion
The module HFPLPST0 has been modified to set the correct status of the processing that issues the NOTIFY.IC command. The module HFPPRII0 has been modified to correctly analyze the areas that are specified in FILECTL command.
