PM25313: WAS CE server adaptor installation fails with feature not found

Error description

• When adding a new WebSphere Application Server CE server adaptor
  via the applicable
  wizard in server view ie Window > Show View > Other > Server ?
  download an additional server, the process fails with an error
  that the relating plugins are not compatible with the following
  example error message ie:
  Cannot complete the install because one or more required items
  could not be found
  Software being installed: WASCE v2.1 Server Adapter 2.1.5
  (com.ibm.wasce.v21.feature.feature.group 2.1.5)
  Missing requirement: Eclipse XML Editors and Tools

  This is reproduced by adding the new server configuration:
  a) In server view select to 'Define a new Server'
  b) No WAS CE is available so select the 'Download Additional
  Server Adaptors' option.
  c) Select WAS CE Server Adaptor 2.1.5 option to install
  d) The Wizard then terminates with the above error,
  e) All the other WAS CE adaptor versions fail with similar
  errors
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• When installing additional plugins, the following error message
  appears:
  
  Missing requirement: Eclipse XML Editors and Tools
  3.2.1.v201007132152-7H7AFUMDxumQGOh8tejUU2Uw_Mx0
  (org.eclipse.wst.xml_ui.feature.feature.group.3.2.1.v20100713215

  'org.eclipse.wst.common_ui.feature.feature.group
  [3.2.1.v201007071800-7C78FPeEdhO_mXTfFk_fp_K0WyO8]' but it could
  not be found
  

Problem conclusion

• The problem was a mismatch between the version of
  org.eclipse.wst.common_ui.feature that was shipped in Rational
  Application Developer v8.0.
  
  This has been rectified for Rational Application Developer
  v8.0.1.
