Error description
An UNLOAD job had both the IMSACB and NEWACB DD's pointing to the same origin ACBLIB by mistake. When attempting to reload the database to another IMS, that job ended with a RC=00 but the format of the data base is not correct, so the application cannot get to the data. The database could be opened and an analyzer runs fine against it, but the application cannot access the data. Therefore a RELOAD job to an improper database format should fail, instead of getting a return code zero.

**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of High Performance Fast Path * * Utilities Fast Path Advanced Tool Version 3 * * Release 2 (FMID: H31A320). * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: FPA RELOAD function ended with RC=00, * * although the format of the data base * * is not correct. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. * **************************************************************** An unload job had both the IMSACB and NEWACB DDs pointing to the same origin ACBLIB by mistake. When attempting to reload the database to another IMS, that reload job ended with RC=00, but the format of the reloaded data base is not correct, because the IMSACB that is specified for the reload job is inconsistent with the NEWACB that is specified for the UNLOAD job. Then, the application cannot get to the data.
Problem conclusion
This APAR enables FPA UNLOAD function to write the DBD information that are used for unload in the USR file, and enables FPA RELOAD function to check the consistency between the DBD information in the library that is specified in IMSACB DD and the DBD information in the USR files. This function is activated when the new keyword ACBCHK=YES is specified both in the unload job and the reload job. ======================== = DOCUMENTATION CHANGE = ======================== The IMS High Performance Fast Path Utilities for z/OS User's Guide Version 3 Release 2 (SC18-9869-04).
