PM22593: LOOP IN IPISTMQ OR SPURIOUS IPI0053E MESSAGE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• In IMS PA V4.1 and previous releases, separate "transit engines"
  are used to run fixed-format reports for multiple systems
  (shared-queues) and single systems (even if that single system
  in reality participates in a shared-queue environment).  If 2
  transactions with the same Processing UOW id presented to IMS PA
  at the same time this caused a loop in the IPISTMQ
  (shared-queues) or spurious IPI0053E message (single system)
  because the Processing UOW id is not unique.
  The loop hits many instructions near x'2AC' into IPISTMQ.
