APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • With APAR PK72688 on, there is checking of log records to
    ensure they are consecutive when running a SELECT step.
    If the log records are not consecutive, the read log stops and
    select ends with RC=08 and a message as follows:
    IQC3025E Base CheckPoint not found
    .
    QCF code change will provide a new error message in such rare
    case if this occurs.

    *                      order - new messages show:              *
    *                      IQC3116E Timestamp and LSN of log       *
    *                         record out of order-     nnnnnn      *
    *                      The step ends with RC=08.               *
    *                      IQC3117E Timestamp of log               *
    *                         record out of order-     nnnnnn      *
    *                      The step ends with RC=08.               *
    *                      IQC3118I LSN of log                     *
    *                         record out of order-     nnnnnn      *
    *                      Processing continues.                   *

    * RECOMMENDATION: Install the APAR to have info if the logs    *
    *                 are put in LOGIN DD in IQCSELCT step         *
    *                 not in the order they have been created.     *
