APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The DB2 Object Comparison Tool for z/OS REORG's the SYSPKAGE
tablespace and then attempts to run the RUNSTATS utility for a
change to a Global Temporary Table ( GTT ). The RUNSTATS utility
fails RC08 with the message:
DSNU062I #aaaa- nnn nn:nn:nn.nn DSNUGMAP - RUNSTATS UTILITY MAY
NOT BE RUN ON TABLE tbcreator.gtt

Local fix

  • Do not specify either REORG or RUNSTATS in "Optional jobs after
Reload or Alter:" section of panel GOC5 "Generate Compare Jobs".

DB2 Object Comparison Tool does not verify if the table
being compared is a global temporary table and
generates unnecessary utilities.

Problem conclusion

  • The problem has been resolved.  DB2 Object
Comparison Tool verifies if it is a global temporary
table and does not generate utilities in such cases.
