Comments

  • IMS High Performance Image Copy for z/OS Version 4 Release 2
has been modified to support IMS Version 12.

HP Image Copy supports the Fast Path Secondary Index for DEDB
    database.

    Restrictions:
    - EAV OSAM database is not supported.
    - Virtual Image Copy process (VIC=Y) is not applied to the Fast
Path Secondary Index that is specified in IC, AIC, CIC, ACIC
      or GROUP statement.
    - HP Image Copy function terminates with an unexpected result
when all of the following conditions are satisfied:
      - Input database is Fast Path Secondary Index.
      - HDPC=Y is specified.
      - Fast Path Secondary Index is specified in IC, AIC, CIC, ACIC
        or GROUP statement

IMS Version 11 refers to IMS Version 11 Release 1.
    | IMS Version 12 refers to IMS Version 12 Release 1.
The various versions of IMS are referred to simply as IMS,
except where distinctions among them need to be made.

3.4 IMS HP Image Copy JCL statements
          ICEIN control statement keywords
            DBALL keyword

      Notes:
1.When ICOUT=ddname is specified, DBALL=Y is ignored for
that statement. However, when ICOUT=ddname, DBALL=Y, and
VIC=Y are specified, IMS HP Image Copy searches for an
index database that has logical relationship with the
specified database, and creates a virtual image copy for
          that index database.
2.For the optional parameter for the auto-searched DBDS, the
first DBDS optional parameter that is specified for ICEIN
in the same Logical Group is used.

      Default value
        DBALL=N

    | Restrictions:
    | The DBALL keyword is not effective for the Fast Path
    | Secondary Index for DEDB database.

3.4 IMS HP Image Copy JCL statements
          ICEIN control statement keywords
            IDXSRCH keyword

The IDXSRCH keyword specifies whether the Image Copy function
is to search related index DBDS while creating virtual image
      copies.

      Statements that support this keyword
        GLOBAL statement
      Site default option
        Supported
      Related keyword
        VIC keyword

      Format
        +---------------------------------------------+
        | IDXSRCH=Y|N |
        +---------------------------------------------+
      Y
specifies that the Image Copy function searches the related
    | primary index DBDS's for DL/I database and secondary index
    | DBDS's for DL/I Database and DEDB area from the DBD and
create VIC automatically. The IDXSRCH keyword requires
        VIC=Y.
      N
specifies that the Image Copy function does not search the
related primary or the secondary index DBDS's. N is the
        default.

      Default value
        IDXSRCH=N

      Related reference
        "VIC keyword" in topic 3.4.2.99
The VIC keyword specifies whether the Image Copy function
processes virtual image copies for primary and secondary
        index databases.
