PM21417: TRYING TO LOG INTO COGNOS8 FROM DATA MANAGER RESULTS IN AN INVISIBLE LOGIN SCREEN

Error description

• Customer description:  The issue occurs only in Data Manager.
  Cognos Transformer and Framework Manager do not have the issue.
  We're unable to visibly see the Data Manager 'Logon As'  screen
  (it's completely invisible).  If you imagine the screen and type
  user name, tab, then type the password and then hit the enter
  key carefully you can get logged in.    Then if you do get
  logged in, when you're ready to exit Data Manager there's
  another invisible screen or dialogue box that one can't interact
  with and Data Manager can only be closed using task manager.
  We've discovered that it's a window positioning issue because we
  can force the screen to appear alt, space M the cursor shoots to
  the top left corner indicating that window is present but off
  the screen.  We then did an alt, space N to minimize it to the
  task bar then maximized the window and make it appear.
