APAR status

Error description

• The DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS AL/RDEF function issues
  a message "Value out of range" for "Numparts" field when the
  "Large" field contains "YES" rather then issuing a "Mutually
  Exclusive" message highlighting both fields.
  

Local fix

• Change the "Large" field to "No" and continue your change.

  DB2 Administration Tool users can not set field
  "Numparts" to 0 when the "Large" field is set to "YES"
  on panel ADB21SAR "Table Space". After changing
  "Numparts" on a tablespace, DB2 Administration Tool
  can not redefine the index which has an invalid
  PIECESIZE, and generates the wrong DDL to create the
  index when using Change Management.
  

Problem conclusion

• Message ADBC122W was added to show a valid range
  for field "Numparts" when "Large" field is set to "YES" on
  panel ADB21SAR. Panels ADB21SAR, ADB21SAT and
  ADB21XAR were updated to add an entry to redefine the
  index which has an invalid PIECESIZE after changing
  "Numparts" of a tablespace. EXECs ADB21SAT and
  ADB21SAP were updated to create the correct DDL
  for the index after changing  "Numparts" of a tablespace
  when using Change Management.
