Error description

  • If a user is logged in and another user (e.g. an admin) changes
    the user's profile data using PUMA API, these changes might not
    be visible to first user immediately.
    This affects personalization as well as personalization rules
    work on current user's profile.

Problem summary

  • If a user is logged in and another user (e.g. an admin) changes
    the user's profile data using PUMA API, these changes might not
    be visible to first user immediately.
    This affects personalization as well as personalization rules
    work on current user's profile.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The cause of the problem is that the user object held in
    session is not updated if another user is making the updates.
    Solution is that all getCurrentUser() methods always try to
    use the common user object from cache.
