  • The preinvalidationlistener is not invoked on the remote SR,
causing invalidations to be processed only in the source Servant
and not on other Servant regions.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The PreInvalidationListner is not       *
*                      invoked on remote servant regions (SR)  *
*                      or remote application servers.          *

* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

When a dynacache user defines a PreInvalidationListener the
listener is invoked local SR or application server when a cache
entry is invalidated.The expectation is the listener will also
be invoked on remote SRs and remote application servers if
replication is enabled.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Code was missing in dynacache to invoke the listener on a
replicated cache invalidation and has been added.

APAR PM18269 is currently targeted for inclusion in Service
Level (Fix Pack) 6.1.0.35 of WebSphere Application Server V6.1.
