• Sporadic occurrence of build audit failure's inability to get wr
  ite time of object causes clearmake to fail.

  Sporadically, clearmake builds will fail with errors such as
  "abe: Error: Unable to get modification time for written
  object " or "Interference from another process?".
  When clearmake builds are running, the MVFS filesystem
  maintains process-specific data for each process running as
  part of the build environment. On busy systems, where large
  numbers of processes are running and therefore process ids
  are being recycled very quickly, it was possible that stale
  process data could be found and used.  The sporadic errors
  occurred when clearmake attempted to use stale data.
  

Problem conclusion

• A fix is available in ClearCase versions 7.1.1.06, 7.1.2.03.
