Error description

  • This will enable the FPA Unload function to restart the job at
    the same step where a failure occurred and reprocess only the
    failed areas without reprocessing previously successful areas.
    This issue is implemented as a result of FITS requirement
    MR0829076142.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: 1. FPA UNLOAD function supports         *
    *                      checkpoint restart.                     *
    *                                                              *
    *                      2. FPA UNLOAD, CHANGE, REORG, EXTRACT   *
    *                      functions abend with S0C4 in HFPJMAN0   *
    *                      when the number of segments is the      *
    *                      same with the number of internal        *
    *                      buffers that are used to store the      *
    *                      unloaded segment data records. This     *
    *                      abend only occurs on rare occasions.    *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR.         *
    ****************************************************************
    1. This APAR addresses the following enhancements:
    1-1. Support FPA UNLOAD function to provide checkpoint restart
    capability to restart the job at the same step where a
    failure occurred and reprocess only the failed areas without
    reprocessing previously successful areas.
    1-2. Support FPA UNLOAD function to generate a new Process
    Summary Report that summarizes the processing result of each
    area.
    
    NOTE!!
    If ICOUT=YES is specified
    in HFPSYSIN DD, the following IMS High Performance
    Image Copy APAR must be applied
    whether RESTART=YES is specified or not, in order to
    output new Process Summary Report.

    This issue is implemented as a result of FITS requirement
    MR0829076142.
    
    2. This APAR also correct a logic error to solve HFPJMAN0 S0C4.
