Error description

  • IGD17100I UNEXPECTED CATALOG ERROR can be issued when creating
    image copies from a system backup and there is not enough work
    space available.
    
    DB2 Recovery Expert Tool for z/OS was not retrying to find space
    on other specified work volumes.
    

Local fix

  • Specify larger work volumes or run the image copies in a single
    job.
