PM13266: PANEL ZINACT SHOWED INCOMPLETE THREADS FOR LIMIT(*)

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Panel ZINACT doesn't showed complete threads.
  
  limit(*) is whatever amount lines that can fit into the internal
  buffer storage and is for DB2 V9 and higher only.  Default is
  512 lines without limit(*).
  
  OM DB2PE is using -dis thread(*) type(inactive) to get that
  data.
  Additional symptom:
  Dump Title: OMEGAMON II FOR DB2: COMPID=5655OPE00, JOB=CANSO2  ,
               LMOD=KO2CDBCB#L, CSECT=#UNKNOWN, OFFSET=01C9EA
  ABEND0C4 KO2CIFDB+C04 (at R420 PM13429 level) on a D5128000A57C
  (CLC) instruction.  Omegamon failed to detect the following
  while analyzing results of a DISPLAY THREAD to z/OS V9 DB2:
   DSNV515I  -xxxx MESSAGE LIMIT EXCEEDED. DISPLAY IS TRUNCATED
   DSNV423I  -xxxx DISPLAY THREAD MESSAGE POOL SIZE EXCEEDED
   DSN9023I  -xxxx DSNVDT '-DIS THREAD' ABNORMAL COMPLETION
  Because of this, Omegamon attempts to read beyond the buffer and
  program checks.
  

Local fix

• Please use  '-dis thread(*) type(inactive) limit(*)'  instead of
  '-dis thread(*) type(inactive)'  for DB2 V9 and higher versions.

  PROBLEM SUMMARY:
  Panel ZINACT does not display all Inactive threads for
  DB2 V9 if the amount of the output lines is limited in DB2.

  Thread(*)" for DB2 V9.
