    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. *
    ****************************************************************
This APAR provides the fixes for the following problems:
    - When HP Image Copy under IMS Database Recovery Facility ends
with RC=08 and RSN=03, any diagnostic messages aren't issued.
HP Image Copy should provide some new messages for analysis
      the cause of the error.

    - When HP Image Copy detects I/O error for one of dual image
copy data sets for DBDS or area and continues the process with
another IC data set, the following two problems occur:
      - NOTIFY.IC command fails because of the invalid VOLLIST
keyword. HP Image Copy should set the valid volume name into
        VOLLIST keyword.
      - The incorrect record count of IC data set is printed in the
Image Copy Dump Process report, because saved record count
is overwritten by the invalid number.

    - IMS Database Recovery Facility cannot report the correct
return code of image copy process for each database data set.
HP Image Copy should pass the correct return code of each
database data set to IMS Database Recovery Facility.

    - When HP Image Copy under IMS Database Recovery Facility
detects the authorization status error, an infinite loop
occurs. This is caused by incorrect logic of error handling.

    - HP Image Copy under IMS Database Recovery Facility encounters
unexpected ABEND U300 ( ABENDU300 ) because HP Image Copy
refers an incorrect area and misjudges the condition of user
      ABEND.

Problem conclusion

  • FABJAPIM, FABJMSGC and FABJNTFS have been modified to issue some
    new diagnostic messages.
FABJDOPN has been modified to get the correct volume name for
    NOTIFY.IC command.
FABJDPUT, FABJNTFC, FABJNTFI and FABJTERM have been modified to
print the record count of IC data set correctly.
FABJDRQS has been modified to pass the correct return code to
IMS Database Recovery Facility. FABJDRQS has also been modified
    to avoid the infinite loop.
FABJCP40 has been modified to refer a correct area to avoid
    unexpected user ABEND.
