Error description

• The DB2 Object Comparison Tool for z/OS Change Management
  job issued a message:
  GOCC025E - Duplicate record was detected for object aaa.aaaa    
  when a table and ALIAS have the same name.
  This APAR will improve the error messaging in MERGE to
  better identify the cause of the issue.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When a change is registered to          *
  *                      create a table with the same name       *
  *                      as an already existing alias, the       *
  *                      catalog compare during analyze          *
  *                      fails as below:                         *
  *                                                              *
  *                      "GOCC025E - Duplicate record was        *
  *                      detected for object <table name>.       *
  *                      Run will terminate."                    *
  *                                                              *
  *                      This APAR will issue a more             *
  *                      sensible message earlier in             *
  *                      the process, i.e in Merge.              *

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply The PTF.                               *
  ****************************************************************
  When a change is analyzed for a table with the same
  name as an already existing alais, the analyze will fail
  during the Merge rather than compare.  The following
  improved message will appear:
  
  "An Alias already exists with the same name, <table name>.
  ADBC002E - Severe error. Merge terminates"
