Error description

  • Abend U1003 may occur when using the following parms:
    MAXPART with a non zero value
    ONDEMAND_RESOURCE_ALLOCATION(YES)
    Physical UNLOAD (UNLDDN) & logical unload (SELECT) in a single
         invocation of HPU
    TEMPLATE on the output files.
    PB10513
    2. Delimiter used is the default associated with the output
    format not the DB2 delimiter. For example, the date format
    may be different than expected.

Problem summary

    * USERS AFFECTED: Users of DB2 High Performance Unload. *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: 1. The delimiters used are not the one *
    * of DB2 but are the default delimiter *
    * associated with the output format used. *
    * For example, if the DB2 data format is *
    * USA, when using DATE_DB2 in an INTO *
    * clause, the output date should be *
    * generated as mm/dd/yyyy, but if the *
    * output format is DELIMITED, the *
    * corresponding value for DATEDELIM is *
    * '-', so the output fiels is formated *
    *                      as mm-dd-yyyy.                          *
    *                      PB 10513                                *
    * 2. an abend U1003 can occur when using *
    * the following parameters in case of *
    *                      partitioned table space:                *
    *                      - MAXPART with a non zero value         *
    *                      - ONDEMAND_RESOURCE_ALLOCATION(YES)     *
    *                      - Physical UNLOAD (UNLDDN) + logical    *
    *                       unload (SELECT) in a single            *
    *                       invocation of HPU                      *
    * - TEMPLATE on the output files. *
    *                      PB 10526                                *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: APPLY the PTF. *
    ****************************************************************
    1. inzhyacc, inzplib and inzctrlh were changed to handle the
    date delimiter correctly.
    2. Dynamic allocation routine in inzrunh module was fixed.

Problem conclusion

  • APPLY the PTF.
