PM10372: PPX Reports in PowerPlay Client are getting sharing violation error

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When a PPX report is placed in the shared LAN location is opened
    first by a "read-write-permissions" user and subsequently
    attempted to be opened by a "read-only-permissions" user, the
    "read-only-permissions" users gets a "sharing violation"
    message:
    "A sharing violation occured while accessing
    \\IP\FOLDER\Report.ppx"
    
    The user access permissions are set on the windows folder.
    
    Same error is reproducible in PowerPlay Client 7.4 MR3.
    This is not applicable to PPR reports.
