  • The DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS ADBTEP2 program issues a
    message:

    As a result High Performance Unload is not used and
    the DB2 UNLOAD utility is called instead.

Problem summary

    *                 for z/OS Version 7.2 who use                 *
    *                 High Performance Unload.                     *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When running a work statement           *
    *                      list (WSL), and requesting High         *
    *                      Performance Unload (HPU),               *
    *                      the job may end with RC=66              *
    *                      and a possible ABEND0C4.                *
    *                      It may appear that an UNLOAD            *
    *                      was attempted by DB2 and                *
    *                      the following message is                *
    *                      issued:                                 *
    *                                                              *
    *                      UNABLE TO OPEN DCB                      *
    *                      FOR DDNAME UTLPUNCH.                    *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply The PTF.                               *
    ****************************************************************
    Proper detection of a SYSPUNCH file was not
    occurring, which caused an allocation to be omitted.
