PM09496: WSL NO JCL TO RUN WORK STMT LIST BUILT WHEN PANEL ADB2W1R HAS "GENERATE ONE JOB" NO

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS does not build the JCL to
  run a WSL when 'Generate one job' when panel ADB2W1R "Generate
  one job" is not YES.
  

Local fix

• Specify YES on panel ADB2W1R "Generate one job"
  

Problem summary

  *                 z/OS who generate jobs to run the            *
  *                 work statement list as part of the           *
  *                 parent process (i.e. compare) and            *
  *                 generate more than one job.                  *

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The prefix passed to the                *
  *                      program was ignored and a new           *
  *                      prefix that was too long was            *
  *                      used.  Member names                     *
  *                      longer than 8 characters                *
  *                      prevented the jobs in the               *
  *                      PDS from being generated.               *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply The PTF.                               *
  ****************************************************************
  The prefix passed to the program was ignored and
  a new prefix that was too long was used.  Member
  names longer than 8 characters prevented the jobs
  in the PDS from being generated.
  

Problem conclusion

• The prefix passed to the program is now kept and
  used which will correctly allow jobs to generate to
  the PDS.
