    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: This APAR is DFR version for IMS V9 *
    *                      APAR PK38704 (PTF is UK24160), IMS V10  *
    *                      APAR PK42406 (PTF is UK24231) and IMS   *
    * V11. Also, DFR in support of IMS V6 *
    * APAR PQ08919 which is already included *
    *                      in IMS V9, IMS V10 and IMS V11.         *
    *                      - PK38704 and PK42406                   *
    *                      DFSBACK0 assumed that every entry in a  *
    *                      TYPE47 record represented an active     *
    * work unit. When it found an entry for *
    * an inactive PST, it would pick up the *
    * residual UOR and find no subsequent *
    * log records for that PST. It would *
    *                      issue DFS2298A requesting earlier log   *
    * data so that it would have the log data *
    * for this apparently active work unit. *
    *                      - PQ08919 for IMS V6                    *
    * APAR PQ07457 added additional data in *
    * the dependent region entries of the 47 *
    * log record for protected conversations *
    * which is only present if the region is *
    *                      involved in a protected conversation.   *
    * In the change the field CAPDBCNT was *
    * made a part of every entry, whereby *
    * previously it was only part of a BMP *

    - PM09489 for IMS DEDB Fast Recovery
    IMS APARs changed the format and the entries of the X'47' log
    record. The X'47' log record process of DFR was changed in the
    same manner of IMS APARs.
    . DFR uses a new flag, CAPRCD1, to verify that a complete
      active UOR list is obtained.
    . DFR tests each entry of X'47' log record for its status that
      is contained a copy of PSTSWR.
    . DFR includes the CAPDBCNT field as a part of every X'47' log
      record entry.

Comments

  • The following module and macro have been modified.
    (x = 9, A and B)
    *
    DFRLUORx - This module was changed as follows.
               . When DFR is not processing the first of a group of
                 X'47' log records after the using checkpoint, DFR
                 does not process the X'47' log record.
               . When the PSTSWR2 bit is set to the CAPSWR flag
                 which shows that PST of the entry of the X'47' log
                 record is active, DFR processes the entry.
               . In case the entry length of the X'47' log record is
                 calculated, it is not dependent on the value of the
                 CAPTYPE field (IFP, BMP, MPP, etc.), and the entry
                 length for the numbers contained in the CAPDBCNT
                 field is added.
    DFRRSCx - The RSCD47R1 flag to indicate the first of a group
               of X'47' log records is already processed was added.
