Error description
In WebSphere Application Server Version 7 the WebContainer provides a public addGlobalListener() method from the class: com.ibm.websphere.servlet.container.WebContainer. This method is also required for Version 6.1.

In Version 7 this is provided by the method: com.ibm.websphere.servlet.container.WebContainer.addGlobalListen er(String className) However this method is not available in Version 6.1.
Problem conclusion
The WebContainer has been updated to provide a new public method: com.ibm.websphere.servlet.container.WebContainer.addGlobalListen er(String className) The specified class must be on the classpath of all web applications requiring the listener. For example, in the /lib directory at the root of the application server. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 6.1.0.31.
