Error description

  • Portal fixpack 6.1.0.3 enables usage of the HTML base tag per
    default for the IBM theme, as its usage improves performance
    for WCM and page builder scenarios.
    In the following scenarios, base tag causes portal server to be
    unreachable due to wrong hostname/schema encoding:
    - If SSL accelerator or HTTP proxy is utilized, and hostname is
    not correctly configured in WAS/Portal, the portal server is
    either served unsecured, or not reachable at all
    - If virtual portals have been created with hostname and url
    mapping context, the vp cannot be reached through the URL
    context anymore
    Due to these issues, this APAR switches off the usage of the
    HTML base tag per default by setting the following
    configuration on the IBM theme:
    com.ibm.portal.theme.hasBaseURL=false

Problem summary
