Error description

  • Content Type header does not contain charset encoding for
    portlets that are requested via WSRP.
    If the portlet explicitly sets a charset encoding, this value
    is
    not propagated over WSRP which might lead to problems when
    displaying non-ASCII characters
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • When a portlet sets a character encoding in the
    serveResource() method, this encoding is not propagated when the
    portlet is used via WSRP.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The producer now transfers clientAttributes to the consumer.
    On the consumer side, if a client attribute (e.g. character
    encoding) is found for a serveResource invocation, this
    attribute is set as property to the PortletResponse object.
