    *                      - Forward fits from HPIC V4R1           *
    *                      - Problems found in V4R2 GA code        *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. *
    ****************************************************************
This APAR must be applied to use new functions introduced in HP
    Image Copy V4R2.

This APAR also includes following forward fits from HP Image
    Copy V4R1:
    - PK99132
HP Image Copy under IMS Database Recovery Facility terminates
with ABEND S30A ( ABEND30A ) when all of the following
      conditions are satisfied:
      - COMP=Y is applied to HPIC image copy process.
      - I/O error or DCB abend, such as abend SB37 ( ABENDB37 ),
occurs in the PUT macro for output image copy data set.

The cause of this problem is that HPIC called from DRF with
different TCB issues GETMAIN and FREEMAIN macro.
      +------------------------------------------------------------+
      |APAR PK87710 is required to be applied to IMS Database |
      |Recovery Facility for z/OS Version 3 Release 1. |
      +------------------------------------------------------------+

    - PK99259
When LIU Integrity Checker is loading the serially reusable
module DFSBSCD0, it attempts to load the module at the same
      time and gets ABENDA06-04.
      time and gets ABEND SA06-04 ( ABENDA06 RSN04 ).

By APAR PK92830 of LIU, this problem could not be resolved
completely. To resolve this problem, this APAR must be applied
to HP Image Copy and you must apply APAR PK99258 to IMS
      Library Integrity Utilities (FMID=H27P210).

    - PK97537
Invalid image copy data set is created with FASTIC=(,DUMP)
function for a database depending on the characteristics of
the database data set such as CI size and LRECL. The cause of
the problem is that DFSMSdss passes multiple segments in a
track data and HP Image Copy does not handle the multiple
      segments correctly.

With this fix, HP Image Copy is modified to correctly handle
multiple segments in a track data from DFSMSdss.

    - PM00470
HP Image Copy terminated with message FABJ0104E
      ( MSGFABJ0104E ) under ORF when VIC=Y and DBRC=N keywords are
      specified for HIDAM.

The reason of the error is that HP Image Copy requires DBRC=Y
if VIC=Y is specified and regards the combination of DBRC=N
      and VIC=Y as error.

But this behavior causes a problem for ORF user who has VIC=Y
in the site default table of HP Image Copy since ORF
internally calls HP Image Copy with DBRC=N.

So, this APAR enables VIC=Y to work with DBRC=N. If DBRC=N and
VIC=Y is specified, HP Image Copy just skips NOTIFY.UIC
processing of VIC data set for DBRC, instead of terminating
      with error.

    - PM01148
The APAR fixes ABEND S0C4 ( ABENDS0C4 ) in module FABJNTFC
when image copy data set is allocated with a volume count over
      31.

HP Image Copy should get the volume information from UCB
instead of JFCB when ICDS is opened and the end of volume exit
      is scheduled.

    - PM01875
This APAR provides a fix for following problems of HP Image
      Copy V4R1.
      - HP Image Copy terminates with a wrong job step return code
if user specifies HPSRETCD control statements, such as
        SPMNERROR=2 and SPMNWARN=2.
      - ABEND S0C4 ( ABEND0C4 ) at FABJCP40 occurs when DFSMSdss has
        an error.

The causes of the problems are as follows:
      - HP Image Copy wrongly changed a job step return code if user
        specifies HPSRETCD control statements.
      - HP Image Copy did not handle an error of DFSMSdss correctly.

    - PM02490
      This APAR includes following enhancements:

1.For FASTIC= keyword, a new parameter in the second operand,
FDUMP, is added. FDUMP specifies that the DFSMSdss COPY
command is to be used in creating the shadow data set from
the original database data set. The output image copy is
created from the shadow data set as a standard format of IMS
HP Image Copy. Related to FASTIC=(,FDUMP) specification,
        following keywords are made available.
        - REGTIMESTMP keyword
        - SHDWDELETE keyword
        - SHDWDSN keyword
        - SHDWHLQ keyword
        - SHDWMGMTCL keyword
        - SHDWSTORCL keyword
        - SHDWTCTL keyword
        - SHDWVOLSER keyword

2.Pre-allocated ICDS is supported for S-INDEX DB for IPR
ICTYPE=A Function. Note that following are restrictions for
        this function.
        - For a secondary index database, specifying a tape device
is not supported in the DD statement of the image copy
          data set.
        - If you specify RETPD or EXPDT in the DD statement of the
image copy data set, WTOR message, IEC507D
( MSGIEC507D ) , is shown and you need to reply it with
          'U' to proceed.

    - PM03965
HP Image Copy terminates with ABEND S0C4 ( ABEND0C4 ) in
      FABJMAIN at offset X'16F0'.

The causes of the problem are as follows:
      - HP Image Copy calls DFSRRC00 from FABJMAIN in AMODE
        (addressing mode) 31.
      - DFSRRC00 changes the AMODE from 31 to 24, and the control is
returned to FABJMAIN in AMODE 24.
      - FABJMAIN causes the ABEND S0C4 ( ABEND0C4 ) when referring
the storage area above 16 megabytes.

    - PM04416
This APAR provides a fix for following problems of HP Image
      Copy.
      1. DEDB Pointer Checker issues unnecessary report header
reports for every area when HP Image Copy runs under IMS
         Fast Path Basic Tools.
      2. ABEND U0999 ( ABENDU0999 ) at FABJMAIN occurs when HP Image
Copy processes only DEDB with DBALL=Y and HP pointer
checker library is specified in STEPLIB.
      3. ABEND U3916 ( ABENDU3916 ) at FABJDPS7 occurs when HP Image
Copy encounters an unrecoverable I/O error in an image copy
data set for DEDB with HPIO=Y.

The causes of the problems are as follows:
      1. HP Image Copy function that is invoked by IMS Fast Path
Basic Tools has problems on following DD for the DEDB
         Pointer Checker.
         - MSGOUT DD
         - REPORTS DD
If these DD are defined as the sequential data set
(DSORG=PS), Hash check result reports only one area.
If these DD are defined as the partitioned data set
(DSORG=PO), the JOB terminates with ABEND S213-30
         ( ABEND213 RSN30 ).
If these DD are defined as the SYSOUT, unnecessary report
         header reports for every area.
The cause of this problem is that DEDB Pointer Checker is
called for initialization many times by HP Image Copy.
      2. HP Image Copy creates a parameter list with no entries for
HP Pointer Checker in the DBALL check routine. HP Pointer
Checker judges it as a bad parameter list and returns error
return code to HP Image Copy.
      3. HP Image Copy unallocates an open ADS without closing.

This APAR also includes fixes for following problems:
    - NOTIFY.IC command that is issued by HP Image Copy under IMS
Database Recovery Facility has failed when all of the
      following conditions are satisfied:
      - Primary image copy data set and Secondary image copy data
        set are requested.
      - I/O error has occurred in primary image copy data set or
        secondary image copy data set.

    - HP Image Copy terminates with ABEND S0C4 ( ABEND0C4 ) when all
of the following conditions are satisfied:
      - FASTIC process is requested.
      - Running in HP Image Copy restart process.
      - Database that is processed first in sub task of HP Image
Copy is not restarted by the Checkpoint/Restart function.

    - HP Image Copy terminates with ABEND S0C4 ( ABEND0C4 ) when all
of the following conditions are satisfied:
      - FASTIC=(,FDUMP) is specified in ICEIN.
      - Some abend occurs after completing creating the shadow data
        set.

    - HP Image Copy issues the unnecessary NOTIFY.IC command to the
database that is not registered in DBRC RECON when all of the
      following conditions are satisfied:
      - Database is not registered in DBRC RECON.
      - DBRC is active.
      - Concurrent Image Copy function is used.
      - FASTIC=(,DUMP) is specified in ICEIN.

    - HP Image Copy issues the unnecessary CHANGE.IC command to the
database that is not registered in DBRC RECON when all of the
      following conditions are satisfied:
      - Database is not registered in DBRC RECON.
      - DBRC is active.
      - FASTIC=(,COPY) is specified in ICEIN.
      - Offload Copy is requested.

    - The message text "PART=" shown by message FABJ4262I
( MSGFABJ4262I ) is modified to the "DBD=" correctly when
      processing database is DL/I DB.
