APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• RECOVER logonly is run for tablespaces  at tracker site. The
  recover utility abended due to extend failure on a partition.
  MSGIEC070i 200-202 was issued saying the extend request was
  issued with a CI number that was lower than the existing
  extent. IFCID258 records showed the partition with the problem.
  This showed the secondary quantity was not correct .
  eg 'SEC. QUANTITY    :  105447424' high value

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  For 32K CI size data sets, the allocation unit alignment check
  performed in the extend recovery module may fail due to an
  incorrect value used in calculating the primary space quantity.
  As a result, an extend is issued to fix the alignment but
  without updating the high allocated CI number in the page set
  block.  The subsequent extend activity may receive IEC070I
  220-202 as the requested CI number have already been allocated.
  
  The secondary quantity and high alloc in IFCID258 trace record,
  written by extend recovery module, are incorrect.  They should
  be converted to 4K unit to be consistent with other related
  fields.
  

Problem conclusion

• The code has been changed to remove the unnecessary allocation
  unit alignment check.
  
  The fields in IFCID258 trace record have been corrected.
