PM07515: ONLY FRENCH TRANSFORMER 7.4.4 USING IQD TO ORACLE 10GR2 : TR1907 AND TR3021

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• With the MR4 of Transformer 7.4   (i.e. 7.4.4)   in french
  version only, it is impossible use any IQD accessing to Oracle
  10G R2 (10.2.0.1)
  
  When trying to insert any Oracle IQD in a new or preexisting
  model, no Database Signon window is displayed, and we directly
  get errors :
  
  (TR1907) Transformer ne peut pas acc der   la base de donn es
  ****  avec le code d acc s   . (meaning Transformer cannot
  access database '***' using signon ''.)
  
  After Cancelling the box this is followed by:
  (TR3021) canal de communication erron    (meaning erroneous
  communication channel)
  
  We don't know wether it works or not for other versions of
  Oracle, and we don't know wether this is specific to french or
  if it also occurs in other non-english versions (like german),
  but the facts are :
     -> If we just uninstall the french PPT 7.4.4 to install the
  english PPT 7.4.4, then these same IQD sources do work
  perfectly.
     -> This has been reproduced at the client's site as on two
  test environments at french IBM Support site.
