APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When the target job is executing data masking as requested by
the user and MAX-SUBTASKS>1 the data masking engine takes an
S0C4 in most cases. This is being caused by the masking engines
inability to share data from one subtask to another.

The code has been changed to allow the data masking engine to
share data correctly from one subtask to another.

Local fix

  • Specify MAX-SUBTASKS=1 to eliminate this problem. This fix
should be applied as this specification may cause performance
problem in the target job in particular.
