APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When you run PMT.exe for WebSphere Application Server V6.1 on
  Microsoft Windows 7 and Vista, the User Access Control (UAC)
  does not appear. This issue has already been fixed on
  WebSphere Application Server V7 and onward.
  

Local fix

  Because WebSphere Application Server V6.1 was shipped before
  Microsoft Windows Vista and Windows 7 came out, we didn't
  digitally sign the PMT.exe file appropriately to conform with
  the UAC prompt.
  

Problem conclusion

• We have digitally signed the PMT.exe and added a manifest to it
  to have the file conform with Microsoft Windows' UAC.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix pack 6.1.0.35.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
  page for delivery information:
