PM06997: THE ADMINISTRATIVE CONSOLE LINK FOR PROXY ADMIN SERVICE WEB SERVER PLUG-IN CONFIG DOES NOT WORK

Error description

The link  "Web server plug-in configuration" under proxy server
admin service could be safely removed, because:

1. At cell level, the same link under dmgr will do the work.

2. Proxy server has its own plugin config generation under proxy
setting panel. And the config generated will allow front end
plugin to forward requests to proxy instead of application
server directly.

3. The link has never worked since V6.0.2.

Request to remove the "Web server plug-in configuration" link
under the proxy admin service for 6.0/6.1/7.0 releases.

On the administrative console, under the proxy server
administration services, there is a link for "Web server
plug-in configuration". This link does not work, and should be
removed.

Problem conclusion

The link has been removed from the administrative console
because it was not needed.
There are two correct ways to configure the Web server plug-in
configuration:
1. At the cell level, use the link under the Deployment Manager.
2. For a specific proxy server, use the link under the proxy
server settings.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 6.0.2.41, 6.1.0.31, and 7.0.0.11.  Please refer to
