Error description
Customer would like to get steps to upgrade Audit schema from 8.3 to 8.4.1 to be able to use old Audit data. Audit tables are first created for Cognos 8.3 against empty Audit schema. After that when configuring 8.4.1 to use same audit database, Audit tables neither upgrade nor log any data. Replicated issue with tables from 8.3 FP5 to 8.4.1 in Oracle 10.2.0.1.0. This works in 8.4 FP2 so that logging starts to work again, but Audit tables does not seem to be otherwise touched and "COGIPF_POWERPLAY_" tables are not created? Setting 8.4.1 Audit logging to use this db, logservice fails to start again and cogserver.log has similar error as before. IR COGCQ00207984 describes process to upgrade from 8.2 to 8.4. What is correct procedure to manually update Audit schema from 8.3 to 8.4.1 and still secure use of old data.
