Error description
The IEHS War that is shipped in 6.1.0.27 and 6.1.0.29 is mot compatible with other OSGi applications. The IEHS War uses Eclipse 3.0.1 (very old). Launching this OSGi instance depends on setting System properties and using singleton classes (could be URLStreamHandlerFactory) that will cause conflict if the server launches other OSGi instances for other web applications. For example, our product runs on WebSphere Application Server V6.* and launches a private OSGi instance (3.2.2) as our runtime engine. If Our OSGi launches before your 3.0.1 OSGi, the IEHS will fail to start with the following error: [8/23/07 18:06:37:869 CDT] 0000002a IEHS E CWLHS0004E: Bundle org.eclipse.help@4:start not found. [8/23/07 18:06:37:900 CDT] 0000002a IEHS E CWLHS0012E: Application errorjava.lang.IllegalStateException: CWLHS0007E: Unable to acquire application service. at org.eclipse.core.runtime.adaptor.EclipseStarter.run(Unknown Source) at org.eclipse.core.runtime.adaptor.EclipseStarter.run(Unknown Source) at The IEHS war packaged in the base Application Server V6.1 will conflict with other Eclipse applications running on Application Server or other Eclipse applications running on the same machine as Application Server V6.1.
