Error description

  • When using DB2 Object Comparison Tool for z/OS and the objects
being compared include MQT and Triggers, the MQT index or
Trigger is/are created prior to the table.
Additional Symptoms: rc204 -204

*                 MQT's added in the source.                   *
****************************************************************
* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When a comparison results in a          *
*                      new MQT table and a new MQT             *
*                      index, the MQT index is created         *
*                      first causing a SQLCODEN204.            *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION: Apply The PTF.                               *
****************************************************************
When a comparison results in a new MQT table
and a new MQT index, the MQT index is created first
causing a sqlcode -204

Dictionary keys were not the same, resulting in MQT index
and MQT table being created out of sequence.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The problem has been resolved. DB2 Object Comparison
Tool will generate the correct sequence for new MQT's.
