Error description

  • When changing the language dynamically (using the
    "ChangeLanguage" command), only portlets respond
    to the language change. The rest of the Portal
    (tabs, buttons, etc.) remain the same as before.

Problem summary

  • When changes the language dynamically (using the
    "ChangeLanguage" command), only portlets respond to the language
    change. The rest of the Portal (tabs, buttons, etc.) remains
    unaffected by the language change.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The language change needed to be propagated to both the request
    and response. With request and response diverging, the old
    language was retained and the language change only visible in
    resources that we were based solely on the request.
