Error description

  • LOOP in the VSAM Backstore Dataset processing.
A window exists during an interval switch where a negative sql
code summary record will be written out twice causing a CQM2604E
    VSAM LOGIC ERROR RC 08 , RS 0008 .
    Followed by MSGCQM2609E and MSGCQM1055E REASON 00080000
Also identified an excessive overhead problem because
the QM SQLCD writer is looping.
LOOP CQMMSQLX offsets 3302-332A (at PM00502 level)
LOOP CQMMSQLX offsets 3F3A-3F60 (at PK69999 level)

Local fix

  • Cycling the CQM collector started task will address the high CPU
usage in the event it occurs along with the CQM2604E message.
    ******
Alternatively, adding the following parameters to CQMPARMS to
disable the collection of negative SQL Codes will remove any
possibility of the loop from occurring (re-cycle the collector
    to pickup the changes):
    MAX_SQLCODES(0)
    MAX_SQLCODE_DETAIL(0)
