    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    A TRWA is unconditionally acquired during thread allocation if
    one does not exist for the thread. However, the agent driving
    the thread allocation could have a TRWA associated with it, and
    the TRWA created during thread allocation will overwrite the
    agent's existing TRWA pointer. This resulted in a leak of
    TRWAs, storage shortage in ECSA and DB2 abnormal termination.

    Please note that all TRWA storage is freed when DB2 termination
    occurs.

Problem conclusion

  • DB2 has been modified to use the agent's TRWA if one exists.
