PM03072: PERFORMANCE DEGRADATION IN IMS CONNECT EXTENSIONS V220 ENVIRONMENT AND PARSER WORKING INCORRECTLY

Error description

• Three issues being addressed:
  1. Performance degradation in IMS Connect Extensions V220 seen
  in some environments.
  2. When parsing input parameters, the parser will, when
  finding a missing parenthesis on the last statement, terminate
  processing immediately. This could mean that other errors
  on the parameters will not be found until that error has been
  corrected and the parameters have been reprocessed.
  3. IMS Connect may hang with many tasks waiting in module
  FUNTDB01 due to missing post.

  This APAR is correcting the following:
  1. Performance degradation in IMS Connect Extensions V220 seen
  in some environments.
  2. When parsing input parameters, The Fundi parser will, when
  finding a missing parenthesis on the last statement, terminate
  processing immediately. This could mean that other errors on the
  parameters will not be found until that error has been corrected
  and the parameters have been reprocessed.
  3. IMS Connect may hang with many tasks waiting in module
  FUNTDB01 due to missing post
  

Problem conclusion

• The following changes have been made:
  1. Changes implemented to improve performance in certain
  environments.
  2. Processing has been altered to raise an error but continue
  processing. This will allow secondary errors to be identified
  during the first processing, limiting the number of subsequent
  processing required.
  3. Corrected post logic to ensure proper operation.
