Error description

  • Drill Through from PowerPlay Web to Report Studio fails, when
    the source contains spaces during the cube creation.
    
    For Example, when using following columns to create 2 dimensions
    "LA02      ";"LA02"
    both categories appears equal in Transformer, PowerPlay, Report
    Studio ...
    
    Within a PPX file:
            <PPDSID DimIdx="0" Code="LA02" CatId="193"/>
            <PPDSID DimIdx="1" Code="LA02" CatId="195"/>
    
    Within a MDL file:
    Category 193 "LA02" Parent 135 Levels 141 OrderBy Drill 135
    Value "LA02"
    Lastuse 20091113 SourceValue "LA02" Filtered False Suppressed
    False Sign False
    HideValue False IsKeyOrphanage False IsTruncated True Blanks

    However, when Drill Through from PowerPlay Studio to Report
    Studio using a filter like "[MACROLOB] like ?Macro-LOB Code?",
    this only works with the source "LA02", not with "LA02      ".
    
    This is a inconsistent behavior, because it does not make any
    different whether a rtrim is performed or not, except during the
    Drill-Through.
    

Local fix

  • remove blanks using rtrim
