APAR status

Error description

  • Add an ASUSER parameter to the ADBL and ADB CLISTs to allow user
to establish a trusted context. The parameter will be passed to
the DSN command.

Local fix

  • APPLY PTF.

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
* USERS AFFECTED: Users of DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS V9 *
*                 that need to use trusted contexts in batch.  *
****************************************************************
* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: None of the generated jobs are able to  *
*                      establish a trusted context.            *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION: Apply The PTF.                               *
****************************************************************
Before this APAR, users were only able to establish a trusted
context for the on-line session but not in batch jobs.

Problem conclusion

  • A new option has been added that allows the user to have the
jobs generated so a trusted context can be established.
Besides setting the new option, it requires that the same
trusted context is used on-line and that the job names used are
defined in the trusted context.
