• 1. Error RC control in HPIC works incorrectly. RC of IC process
  error is replaced by hash check error RC handling.
  2. The cause of ABEND0C4 in message process is that HPIC gets
  unexpected error from DFSMSdss after image copy data set is
  created correctly.

  This APAR provides a fix for following problems of HP Image Copy
  V4R1.
  - HP Image Copy terminates with a wrong job step return code if
  user specifies HPSRETCD control statements, such as SPMNERROR=2
  and SPMNWARN=2.
  - ABEND S0C4 ( ABEND0C4 ) at FABJCP40 occurs when DFSMSdss has
  an error.
  
  The causes of the problems are as follows:
  - HP Image Copy wrongly changed a job step return code if user
  specifies HPSRETCD control statements.
  - HP Image Copy did not handle an error of DFSMSdss correctly.
  

Problem conclusion

• FABJFCDN has been modified as follows:
  - To check end of IC process was already done to avoid S0C4
    abend when message ADR0017E or ADR0049E is received after end
    of IC process was done.
  - To issue MSGFABJ4222E when message ADR0049E or ADR0017E is
    received.
  - To save a correct return code.
  
  FABJDFCN, FABJOFL1 and FABJRFCN have been modified to return
  with RC=08 when the return code of DFSMSdss is over RC08.
  
  FABJDMPN, FABJDFCN, FABJFCDN, FABJDPSN, FABJFCBK, FABJFCCN,
  FABJOFL1 and FABJRETT have been modified to return a correct
  return code.
  
  The following modules have been reassembled.
