Error description
n ClearQuest web 7.0.1.7, record id's may be created with a wron g case if the user database is accessed via an autologin URL and this URL specifies the user database with a wrong case. This problem occurs only in CQWeb 7.0.1.7. In previous versions, the record id's were always created with the right case, no mat ter the case used to specify the user database in the autologin URL. This may cause sorting issues in user databases hosted in case s ensitive vendor databases, where a record with id sampl55555555 will be listed in a result set as previous to SAMPL00000005. The following steps to reproduce will clarify the problem descri ption. 1. Create a sample database with the default name SAMPL (note th at all the letters are upper case). For simplicity, lets assume the connection to the corresponding schema repository is '7.0.0' and that the admin user has a blank password. 2. Log in normally to CQWeb to access that database (http://serv ername/cqweb/login -?select schema repository and user database from login combo boxes) 3. Create a new defect record. Note that it is created with id: SAMPLXXXXXXXX 4. Log out from CQWeb 5. Use the following autologin URL to access the user database http://servername/cqweb/main?schema=7.0.0?contextid=sampl?comman d=GenerateMainFrame?username=admin?password= 6. Create a new defect record. Note that now the record is creat ed with id: samplXXXXXXXX. This is the wrong behaviour (the id p refix case has been taken for the link used to log in, instead o f using the actual db name 'SAMPL'). This problem will occur also if the users use the documented pro cedure to log in to a test database, using first the URL: http://servername/cqweb/login?test=1 and then typing the user database name in the login test box. Th e case used here, (for example Sampl or SaMpL) will be used to p refix all the records created in that session.
